Carnival Cruise Line reveals new hull art

Recently Carnival Cruise Line made the first steel cut for a new ship and revealed the hull art. The yet-to-be-named 5,286-lower berth ship will be the line’s largest. Carnival refers to the ship as one of two new XL vessels. We wonder if gay cruise travelers will think XL refers to something else.

The ship will be the first LNG-powered ship for the North American market. And no, that’s not a Finnish Vodka brand, but Liquified Natural Gas. However, we can reasonably assume that vodka will be available for other uses.

The new ship will enter service in 2020. The naming is planned for December of this year and inaugural season info will come in January. The new liner will call Port Canaveral home.

We think the red, white and blue livery is beautiful. The sweeping and graceful design looks really tasteful and elegant. Mark this ship down as a plus for Carnival.
